What is a Community Led Plan (formally known as a Parish Plan)?
It is a document that we, as a Parish, produce to illustrate what type of community we are now and what we hope to be in the future. It should outline the characteristics that we all value (and would therefore like to preserve and enhance). It can also highlight issues that we would like to improve and our ambitions for the future.
It should demonstrate how we would like Eardisland to develop over the next 5-10 years and is a useful way of identifying problems that may need to be addressed.
What subjects are included in the CLP?
It can include a myriad of topics – from housing, health, tourism, leisure, environment, traffic, work/enterprise, youth services and education etc.
Ideas might include the future of the village hall, a community orchard, better broadband speed/mobile phone reception, public toilets, a tennis court or nature reserve.
Who is paying for this CLP?
The plan is grant funded with our Parish Council providing the remaining amount (approx. £500). We are confident that the CLP will be an affordable document representing excellent value for money – but we do need the support and input of the parishioners to ensure that it represents your views and aspirations.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with The Steering Group.
It is YOUR plan for YOUR parish.
