Eardisland Craft Fair Booking

Details of the 2020 Eardisland Craft Fair and how to book stalls

When?
The 5th annual Eardisland Craft Fair will be held on Saturday 10th October '20, between 10am - 4pm.

Where?
The venue, St Mary's Church, Eardisland, Leominster.

History.

This event was formed in 2016, with stalls (23) which were limited to the church only. The event attracted 285 paying members of the public.

In 2017 the event was enlarged to 39 stalls, with additional space in two marquees in the church grounds. Despite awful weather with strong winds and driving rain the event attracted 335 hardy souls.

2018 saw 53 stalls, a visit from Storm Callum and 387 members of the public, who thoroughly enjoyed the day.

In 2019 we had a similar number of stalls and better weather which saw our attendance increase by one to 388.

Available space.

In previous years we have erected three marquees in the church grounds, allowing space for 27 stalls. However the last couple of years have proved problematic dismantling them, with the marquees sodden inside and out. Indeed in 2019 a group ten strong, faced at least half a dozen postponements before we were able to fold them away, almost three weeks after the show.

For this reason we are having to reduce the size of the fair in 2020 and will be erecting just the one marquee which will have space for 11 tables. As an alternative we are selling pitches, 3m x 3m, on which the hirer can erect their own gazebo and bring along their own table, at a reduced rate.

Capacity inside the church will remain at 25 stalls, making an overall capacity of around 46, a slight reduction on previous years.

Other information.

A breakfast will be on offer in the nearby village hall for any early arrivals, with burgers and hotdogs being sold in the church grounds at lunchtime, with complimentary hot drinks available for stallholders, in the church, throughout the event. Please remember to bring a cup.

The organisers very much hope that those booking space in the church will take up the offer of setting up their stall in the afternoon of Friday 9th October, however we understand if this should not be possible. We are usually able to provide a team dedicated to helping you unload your vehicle and direct you to your stall. The same applies with packing away.

Both the public and stallholders will be asked to park their vehicles on the recreation ground, a 2 minute walk from the church. Please note this area will be stewarded throughout the event.

A portaloo will be available in the church grounds.

Public admission to the show is £1, which entitles the bearer to a free hot drink in the village hall.

Unless you notify us in advance each space in the church and marquee will be allocated one 6’ table and one chair.

All stallholders will, on the day, be issued with a pass out ticket to ease their passage at the entrance and allow outside stallholders access to the church.

Once your booking is confirmed further information will be issued around 3 weeks prior to the event, however, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to make contact.

All profits from the event will be shared between Eardisland Parochial Church Council, Eardisland in Bloom and Eardisland Village Hall.
