Eardisland Twinning Update

EARDISLAND TWINNING ASSOCIATION

Visit to La Vieille-Lyre, 23 - 26 July 2010

On behalf of the Committee let me wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2010.

We will strive as your Committee to build upon the strong foundations laid over the last 3 years under the excellent stewardship of Ruth Brinton-Bivand as Chair, Phil Milchard as Secretary and Graham Simpson, committee member all of whom stood down at the AGM. We thank them all for their huge contribution and know they will continue as active and supportive members of the Association.

Our French friends have issued an invitation for us to visit with them in La Vieille-Lyre in July, to arrive with them on  Friday 23 July and depart on Monday 26th.

We need to know urgently the level of interest in the trip and how members would wish to travel. A view has been expressed that given the time of year some members may wish to travel independently and move on elsewhere in France after the twinning visit. In order to begin the planning and get costings for group travel etc, your early response would be appreciated.

Please contact any of the Committee members with your response, contact details as follows:

We are planning to hold social functions during the year and will publish details when confirmed.

At this time of year many of us resolve to do things differently or try new things, if you have thought about joining the Eardisland Twinning Association or would like to know more about what we do please contact any committee member who will be happy to discuss our aims, objectives and plans with you. We always welcome new members, of whatever age, and the ability to speak french is not a necessity.
