The Fun Day is held each year on the Village Recreation Ground.
Events so far have included a children's fancy dress competition, fun dog show, bird of prey demonstration, tug-o-war competition, barbecue, refreshments, cake stall, numerous competitions, side shows and raffle, as well as outside stall holders.
The aim of the day is primarily to ‘have fun’ although funds do need to be raised in order to cover set up costs which run into hundreds of pounds! The 2008 event made a staggering profit of £800 which was donated to the St Mary’s Church heating appeal.
