Herefordshire Council operate a household collection of recyclable materials using a wheeled bin.
The bin is collected fortnightly on the same day as black refuse sacks (currently Wednesday), see box on the right for the next collection date.

Please ensure items for recycling are clean, dry and loose
Please do not squash bottles or tins
Please keep any paper or card flat
All recycling items can be collected mixed together
Other methods of reducing waste are:
Composting kitchen and garden waste (The Council will provide subsidised Compost Bins, see here.)
Composting your green waste
Buying returnable/refillable bottles
Giving items to charity shops
Repairing broken items
Buying recycled products, such as paper and tissues
Avoiding over packaged goods
If you don't have your own bag to use e.g.: cotton bag, reuse your plastic bags or buy the ‘bags for life’ at your supermarkets.
Buying reusable products such as rechargeable batteries
Passing usable items onto others by using the Herefordshire freecycle group.
